delivery & returns

 

All Tait & Thistle items are handmade to order so please see below for a delivery estimation. If your order is urgent, please email hello@taitandthistle.com and we will do our absolute best to accommodate your wishes.

For all made to order soft furnishings including letter name sets, pin boards, cushions, bunting and lampshades - please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. For all fabric letters & fabric numbers - please allow 7-10 days for delivery.

For all curtain and blind orders: please allow 5-7 weeks for delivery from your payment date.

For all gift box orders that contain a fabric letter - we aim to stock the majority of the fabrics offered in this section but in the unlikely event that it is not in stock and needs to be ordered in, please allow 14 days for delivery (you will be notified if the fabric is not in stock).

For all gift boxes orders that do not contain a fabric letter, please allow 3-5 working days for delivery.

Postage Costs

Costs are calculated based on the size and weight of your order. During checkout, you are able to choose from the following delivery options:

  • 1st Class - From £3.95

  • 2nd Class - From £3.55

  • Tracked and Courier Services

Please Note: All 20cm lampshades will be sent using Royal Mail but anything larger than 20cm will be sent using DHL as this is the safest method of postage to avoid damages.

International Shipping

European and Worldwide shipping is available, please email for a quote (quotes will vary and will be based on the weight and size of the products you are ordering). Delivery timescales will depend on the carrier used and the method of shipment chosen. Delivery delays due to industrial action, staff shortages (due to Covid) or circumstances beyond our control are the responsibility of the customer and no liability or refunds can be requested unless the product arrives damaged or the item is deemed faulty.

International orders may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that unfortunately, since Brexit, we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Returns

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, returns will only be accepted if the item is deemed faulty, please email hello@taitandthistle.com within 7 days of receiving your order to register your returns request.

Dependent upon the issue, we can arrange a refund or an exchange. Please note, a refund will only be issued once the item is returned, checked and determined to be valid. Return postage will be the responsibility of the customer and postage and packaging costs are non refundable unless the product is genuinely faulty.

Please ensure you inspect your goods upon receipt as should there be an issue, it may invalidate any claim for a refund if you fail to do so. We inspect all our goods before despatch but damage can also be caused in transit, therefore, please do not sign for any damaged goods or packaging.

When returning, the parcel and its contents are entirely your responsibility until they reach us. We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage and using a registered/recorded postal service.
